My May small for the Smalls SAL run by Heather of Stitching Lotus:
I stitched and finished the cover design from the What Delilah Did Secret Garden Embroidery book.
It's a pincushion! I used some obnoxiously stiff cross stitch linen for the middle piece of fabric (goes between the back of the design and the filling), backed it with a scrap of reddish fabric, and filled it with aquarium sand.
This was my first time using a sewing machine in...oh, 20 years? And I was never great at sewing to begin with. But even though it's lumpy and misshapen, I love it! My first sewn finish! Yay!
Only one other small finished so far this month:
I hope to finish the Joyful World SAL "April" before the month is out, but I'm not sure I'll have time. And I'm not letting myself start another project until that's done! Even though I'm dying to start the Ink Circles "Village Square." *twitch*
