Late WIPocalypse & a Stitch Maynia finish

This is a rather late WIPocalypse post ! Question of the month: What do you have on your stitching bucket list? (for example, specific projects, designers, fibers, etc)? I'd really like to stitch a Chatelaine (or several), and also (not cross stitch, but still) a crazy quilt . Progress on my WIPocalypse goals: Minimize pattern purchases : No purchases in August! Complete at least five of my 'old' WIPs : Still at four finishes... Put some stitches into all of my 'old' WIPs at least once during 2019 : Progress only on Mermaid Azure again (no pic, sorry!). I need to just pull out my remaining WIPs and put a few stitches in them, and get it over with! In other news, I finished something that I started this year for Stitch Maynia: "Four de Lys" by Ink Circles, on 28 count "Oyster" linen, with Silk 'n Colors "Greek Currents" thread. It's almost time!

It's almost Halloween stitching time!!!! I know plenty of people stitch Halloween any time of the year, but for whatever reason I'm kind of 'meh' about it until SUDDENLY IN AUGUST I'M ALL OMG YAY HALLOWEEN STITCHING. New things: I got the Just Cross Stitch Halloween issue and there are several smalls I'd really like to stitch. I also love the Halloween drum by Praiseworthy Stitches, but I feel like I should work on some WIPs before I start something like that. Things to FFO: I have SO MANY! "Gone Batty" from a JCS Halloween issue a couple of years back - probably do a flat ornament finish "Happy Halloween" by Satsuma Street - I want to do a pillow "Haunted Mouse in a House" by Just Nan By Dark Crosses - I have a frame for this "Halloween Cat" by Lone Star Stitches - I'll finish this in the hoop "Halloween March Drum" by Dames of the Needle - this will be my first drum finish, i

July WIPocalypse post

Question of the month: How do you get yourself out of a stitching drought? Oh, that's a timely question. Right now, I'm attempting to keep the stitching drought at bay by inching forward on a couple of things, and not worrying about finishing anything. So far...mostly so good. My previous stitching drought lasted about 10 years, and I got out of it by finding & stitching a few cute, small, free patterns online ( these & this & this , among a few others). Progress on my WIPocalypse goals: Minimize pattern purchases : No purchases this month! Complete at least five of my 'old' WIPs : Still at four finishes... Put some stitches into all of my 'old' WIPs at least once during 2019 : I have made some more progress on Mermaid Azure (below) - I finished the stitches in her tail fin, will move on to the tail next.
