Question of the month: What do you have on your stitching bucket list? (for example, specific projects, designers, fibers, etc)?

I'd really like to stitch a Chatelaine (or several), and also (not cross stitch, but still) a crazy quilt.

Progress on my WIPocalypse goals:

Minimize pattern purchases: No purchases in August!

Complete at least five of my 'old' WIPs: Still at four finishes...

Put some stitches into all of my 'old' WIPs at least once during
2019: Progress only on Mermaid Azure again (no pic, sorry!). I need to just pull out my remaining WIPs and put a few stitches in them, and get it over with!

In other news, I finished something that I started this year for Stitch Maynia: "Four de Lys" by Ink Circles, on 28 count "Oyster" linen, with Silk 'n Colors "Greek Currents" thread. The thread was a limited edition from a couple years back; I love the colors.

See the bit of the design at the top in the middle? I had one of those motifs almost completely finished when I realized I'd centered the design on the fabric wrong. I would have had *maybe* a half inch of fabric on the right and bottom if I'd kept going. I have trouble starting designs from corners or edges; I never entirely get the placement on the fabric right.

I frogged it all and restarted, this time from the center of the design. Much better!

I know plenty of people stitch Halloween any time of the year, but for whatever reason I'm kind of 'meh' about it until SUDDENLY IN AUGUST I'M ALL OMG YAY HALLOWEEN STITCHING.

New things: I got the Just Cross Stitch Halloween issue and there are several smalls I'd really like to stitch. I also love the Halloween drum by Praiseworthy Stitches, but I feel like I should work on some WIPs before I start something like that.

Things to FFO: I have SO MANY!
Question of the month: How do you get yourself out of a stitching drought?

Oh, that's a timely question. Right now, I'm attempting to keep the stitching drought at bay by inching forward on a couple of things, and not worrying about finishing anything. So far...mostly so good.

My previous stitching drought lasted about 10 years, and I got out of it by finding & stitching a few cute, small, free patterns online (these & this & this, among a few others).

Progress on my WIPocalypse goals:

Minimize pattern purchases: No purchases this month!

Complete at least five of my 'old' WIPs: Still at four finishes...

Put some stitches into all of my 'old' WIPs at least once during
2019: I have made some more progress on Mermaid Azure (below) - I finished the stitches in her tail fin, will move on to the tail next. I have a couple more 'old' WIPs that I haven't put any stitches into yet, but there are a few months still left in the year!

Question of the month: Half-year recap: How are you doing with your goals so far this year?

Not terrible! I'm in a good place with a couple of the goals, despite stalling on them recently; I completed the "start new things in May" goal; and even though I haven't been able to completely stop the pattern purchases I have kept my actually spending (money-wise) quite low, which was half the reason for that goal. (The other half was that I already have a billion patterns, but...ah well.)

Progress on my WIPocalypse goals:

Minimize pattern purchases: I had the opportunity to stop into a real LNS a couple weekends ago (sort of - it's actually a quilt shop with a small cross stitch section), and I purchased the Erica Michaels Silk Berry Collection "Brrrberry". Adorable! And stitching on silk is something I haven't done before, so I'm kind of excited to try that.

Complete at least five of my 'old' WIPs: Still at four finishes...

Put some stitches into all of my 'old' WIPs at least once during
2019: I haven't made progress on this one this month, either. It's partly because I am jazzed to work on Stitch Maynia starts (I've worked on PS Where There are Bees & one of the LK Summer Smalls), plus still really enjoying HoD Block Party: Java, and therefore somewhat neglecting the old WIPs; and partly because I'm just not stitching a ton right now. With daylight hours lasting longer I have less before-bed stitching time, plus a lot of projects around the house that I want to do, plus I've been doing a lot of reading in my free time.

I have four of the eight cups stitched on "Block Party - Java":

And I've been working on my Maynia 2019 day 1 project, "Where There Are Bees":

I'm somewhere between a third and half done, and I'm running out of the gray-brown! I thought I had more than enough - almost (I thought) a full skein - but clearly not. Unfortunately, I have two other DMC 3787s, one old and one new, and neither of them completely matches the one I used (which I suspect was also an old one). The older extra skein is pretty close in color, I think, so I can make it work. But I do think it's funny that I have three DMC 3787s and none of them match. π Dye lots, amiright?

Question of the month: Where do you love to shop for stash?

I love to shop in actual physical shops, but there are none around here, so I shop at Down Sunshine Lane and 123Stitch online. I usually go to DSL first, and then if I can't find it there and I need it quickly I'll head over to 123Stitch. Both have been really responsive, and get my orders to me asap. The owner of DSL is great, too.

Progress on my WIPocalypse goals:

Minimize pattern purchases: DSL had a promotion going on so I bought a couple of patterns. Woops!

Complete at least five of my 'old' WIPs: Still at four finishes...

Start some new projects for Stitch Maynia: I have 15 new starts! Woot!

Put some stitches into all of my 'old' WIPs at least once during
2019: So far this year, of 13 old WIPs, I have put stitches into 10. That hasn't always resulted in a huge amount of progress, but all progress is good! For Stitch Maynia, I included a couple of WIP stitching days, and worked on:

Mermaid Azure by Nora Corbett: it doesn't look like I made a lot of progress, but I was pleased. I think I'm going to try to make this one my 5th old WIP finish for 2019.

May 17
This is on Chesapeake Bay linen by Under the Sea Fabrics. I did the small design back in 2017 on the same fabric.

I'm using a mix of threads; of the charted threads I only have the blue one on hand, so I've pulled a mix of GAST, VMSS and DMC threads to stitch this.

So, that's 15 new projects added to my WIPs pile, for a new total of 25. That's not too bad. The tough thing now will be to continue to progress through the old WIPs instead of getting distracted by all of the new shinys!Amyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04932241327066036410noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5471048650663356482.post-81109737096685296172019-05-17T07:19:00.002-07:002019-05-17T07:21:07.912-07:00Stitch Maynia 2019 days 11 - 16My current plan is to do Stitch Maynia for 22 days - 19 new starts (for 2019) and progress on 3 neglected WIPs. The last time I did Maynia, in 2017, I managed 13 new starts before I was overcome with the need to quit starting things and start finishing things. We'll see how my plan plays out this year. I'm starting to get twitchy. π

May 11
This will be a Christmas present for my sister. She has a large nutcracker collection. I'm using a mystery linen from my stash, and threads I have on hand (the red is a Victorian Motto Sampler Shoppe thread called "Merry Christmas").

May 12
This is a JBW Designs pattern that I'm stitching on 32 count "Chesapeake Bay" linen by Under the Sea Fabrics. This is one of those designs that has a not-great model photo and you don't realize how seriously cute it is until you see it stitched. I saw the stitched model in person at Needlework Galleria in Missouri a couple of years ago and had to get the chart.

May 13
I'm stitching "Summer" from this Lizzie Kate design set on the called-for fabric with threads I have on hand. The pink here is a great gently variegated fuchsia called Cherry Swirl by Victorian Motto Sampler Shoppe.
Maynia day 14 was progress on a neglected WIP (Mysterious Halloween Town

May 16
And then yesterday I started Rorschach by SamSarah Designs. I got a light gray fabric called Graceful Gray, and am using the Sulky Petites called for in the design. The red/orange in real life is much closer to the red/pink/peach that you can sort of see in the model photo, but, again, terrible photo! I got quite a bit done on this because I had a really long meeting for work, and since it was virtual I stitched (ironically, that helps me focus on the meeting because it keeps me from multi-tasking).
So far I haven't done any FFOing, but I did put a couple of stitches into an old WIP today.

May 6
Hats Off to Halloween, by Lizzie Kate, on 28 count mystery fabric (it's a hand-painted white and gray marbled evenweave). I was excited to find that I have most of the charted threads already in my stash, although I think maybe GAST Sable has changed considerably since the pattern was first released - in the design photo the cat looks black, but my Sable is a mid-brown. So I'll swap that one out. And I don't have GAST Peacock, but I'm sure I have a good alternative.
May 7
Jade Blue by Nora Corbett, 32 count French Lace linen. I picked up the Kreinik 042 #4 braid when I got the pattern a couple of years ago - evidently itβs been discontinued so it would be less easy to find now.

May 8
You Had Me At Flamingo by Hands On Design on 36 count linen from my stash. I had purchased the charted pinks along with the pattern, but I'll use stash/DMC for the other colors. The little pillow and one of the fobs will be a gift for my flamingo-loving mom.

May 9
Oktober Feast by With Thy Needle and Thread/Brenda Gervais, on 36 count PTP Legacy linen with the charted threads. I normally prefer 2 over 2 on 36 count, but this pattern specifies 1 over 2 so I decided to go with it.

Old WIP: Mermaid Azure by Nora Corbett, started back in 2016 and promptly abandoned after a couple dozen stitches. I don't know why I continually avoid this project, the fabric is gorgeous and the mermaids will be lovely. My intention is to stitch Azure and Verde on the same fabric, facing each other. If I ever get that far. Fabric is 32 count Naiad linen by Under the Sea Fabrics.
In January I made rather big plans, but have since scaled well back to a much smaller selection of new starts, interspersed with unloved WIPs and (hopefully) FFOs. So far I have five new starts:

May 1
Where There Are Bees by Prairie Schooler, on white 32 count linen with DMC threads. I've been wanting to stitch this forever. I love the colors and the motifs.

May 2
A Spirited Mandala by Ink Circles, on 32 count Crystal Voodoo Lugana by Picture This Plus, with DMC threads. I randomly purchased the fabric at one point because I thought it was cool, and then sometime later was gifted the pattern, which uses (not sparkly) Voodoo. Serendipity! I'd forgotten how much of a pain it is to stitch on sparkly fabric, though. My goal to stitch at least two threads per new start did not quite happen on this one.

May 3
Reflections of Cairo by Ink Circles on 32 ct Dried Thistle linen by Hand Dyed Fabrics by Stephanie, with
Thread Gatherer threads in Turquoise Fields. I picked that thread because I wanted the colors of ancient Egyptian jewelry - the fabric already has gold and carnelian covered, and the threads bring in the lapis lazuli, turquoise, green jasper and emerald. β€

May 4
Music Among the Trees by Rosewood Manor, on 32 ct white linen with DMC. I love Rosewood Manor designs, but this will be my first to actually stitch.

May 5
The last Ink Circles on my Maynia list, Four de Lys, on 28 count Oyster linen with Thread Gatherer silk threads Greek Currents (terrible picture - the thread has shades of turquoise/blue/green and lavender/purple/plum).

Question of the month: Talk to us about your longest-running WIP or UFO.

Currently that honor goes to Frosty Feast by Crossed Wings Collection, which has been languishing in this condition for several years:

It was the first new design I started when I picked cross stitch up again after many years of not stitching at all. But there are tons of fractional stitches, which I had sort of forgotten how to do, and I thought they looked terrible so I put it away for a while.

I actually had the pattern for more than a decade, and the fabric for a couple of years. Looking at the pic, I'm feeling motivated to pick it back up again, so it may get some love soon!

Progress on my WIPocalypse goals:

Minimize pattern purchases: Success! No purchases this month.

Complete at least five of my 'old' WIPs: Still at four finishes...

Put some stitches into all of my 'old' WIPs at least once during
2019: No progress this month - I was enjoying the pleasant spring weather, scent of lilacs, and lack of mosquitoes, so I spent a lot of time outside instead of stitching. The weather is still nice, but the lilacs have faded and the @*%# mosquitoes are back, so I may get back into the stitching mood this month.

Plus, this has been going on for most of April:

This has been an AMAZING spring for lilacs! I have two huge (1 to 1-1/2 story tall) lilac bushes next to my house, and they are absolutely drooping with epic amounts of flowers. Hanging out in my backyard has meant being enveloped in the scent of lilacs. It's wonderful.

We've also had lovely cool weather, so on the weekends and after work I've done some work on my back hill (badly overgrown), and in my big, neglected garden bed, and (which is really not like me) pulled a lot of weeds.

And then I go inside and am tired and end up watching Netflix and/or playing jigsaw puzzle on my tablet. And not stitching.

I actually won't have a Smalls SAL post this month. :( I may not have a WIPocalypse post, unless I can talk myself into pulling out a WIP and putting a few stitches into it before Sunday....

I've also gone back and revised my Stitch Maynia plans. I've narrowed stitching plans down to 19 days, with three of those being "finishing days.

That also puts less pressure on me to prep, which is good, because May is next week and I haven't kitted anything up yet. *sigh* And I figure if I end up wanting to continue starting new things after 19 days, I have several kits I can dip into.
Question of the month: What newer designers and product creators (fabric or floss dyeing, etc) out there have you discovered and recommend?

I don't have any to share at the moment. I've been making the (mostly successful) effort to stitch from stash since sometime last year, so I haven't really gone out looking for anything new (a.k.a. temptation).

Progress on my WIPocalypse goals:

Minimize pattern purchases: I did buy a pattern this month. However, I will be stitching it for my mom; she loves flamingos and Hands On Design's "You Had Me At Flamingo" is cute and pretty and basically my mom needs it ok?? π

Complete at least five of my 'old' WIPs: I finished Beautiful Sea Quaker, so I've completed four this year so far already. Of my remaining WIPs, though, I don't really have any left that are small enough and / or far enough along that I could finish them relatively quickly; plus I just started something new and have MORE new starts planned; so I suspect my finishing will slow down now...

Put some stitches into all of my 'old' WIPs at least once during
2019: I worked on Beautiful Sea Quaker, Enchanted Alphabet, and Whimsical Advent Calendar:

For a change of pace, I decided to stitch a couple of the numbers from the Primitive Hare "Whimsical Advent Calendar":

The numbers are meant to be stitched in a shade of brown lighter than the borders, but I am going to stitch them in a mix of the red, greens, and white used elsewhere in the design.

But I REALLY wanted to start something new, and this was just sitting there with the fabric and most of the threads all neatly prepped. So I started it: Block Party Java by Hands On Design. :D

I didn't want to spring for all of the charted threads, so I'll use DMC for the outline, am using WDW Berry Splash in place of WDW Watermelon Punch and VMSS Essential Spice in place of WDW Grasshopper, and will come up with an alternative for WDW Cappuccino.

There's a lot more color variation in Berry Splash than in Watermelon Punch, but I think I might like it better, actually.

It's kind of pretty, but...do you ever spend a lot of time on something and there are frustrations throughout the whole process and then you FINALLY finish and it's like...meh?

The fabric:
- It's an evenweave, very polyester-y, and SO STRETCHY. I did not enjoy using it.
- The lavender thread color barely shows up, which means you can barely see the octopus, which is my favorite part of the whole thing.

The threads:
- Midway through the SAL it was discovered that one skein of dark blue would not be enough. And of course the new skeins dyed darker, so I had to fuss with how I stitched the border so that it wouldn't be too obvious.

The pattern:
- Guys, I don't even really care for ocean / seaside designs. Why did I decide to stitch this???? I mean, I do have a couple of other ocean-themed patterns but there are specific things about them that I like (one is "Oh Whale" which I find really funny plus it was easy to swap out the anchor for something else; the other has a bunch of seabirds, which...birds! I love birds!; and the third is "Feathers n Fins" which has, again, lots and lots of birds!). I think I got excited by the pretty thread colors and also was suffering from lack of willpower or something. *facepalm*

I'm sure part of my problem is that there are real life things going on that have me a little bit down. I should just set the finish aside and come back to it later and decide if I really do like it or not. I wish I knew someone who would love it; if I could gift it I would feel less bummed.Amyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04932241327066036410noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5471048650663356482.post-69831449969813042722019-02-25T08:05:00.001-08:002019-02-27T08:31:00.252-08:00WIPocalypse February Update (a.k.a. Question of the month: What do you listen to while stitching?

Depends - either audiobooks or tv / movies. If my son is home, I listen to him play piano. This month's background noise:

Murderbot Diaries by Martha Wells on audiobook

Holmes & Russell novels by Laurie R. King on audiobook

The Haunting of Hill House series on Netflix (though admittedly I ended up turning off the lights and watching these without stitching a lot of the time, for full effect)

Lucifer series on Netflix

Progress on my WIPocalypse goals:

Minimize pattern purchases: I didn't buy any patterns this month, even though Barnes & Noble had a buy one get one 50% off on magazines last weekend. Very proud of myself. I did buy the bead pack for Bleeding Heart Pixie.

Complete at least five of my 'old' WIPs: I finished two!! Whaaaaat! I finished Buzzing Bee last week, and then I got so excited to be close to finishing Bleeding Heart Pixie that I powered through and finished her last night.

Put some stitches into all of my 'old' WIPs at least once during
2019: I worked on three projects this month, Buzzing Bee, Bleeding Heart Pixie, and Whimsical Advent Calendar:

Yes, that's a pack of TP in it. I'm using it to sort of help shape the bag. But isn't that nifty? It's constructed with fabric, duct tape, and staples. π

I don't know how well it will hold up, but it was fun to do. Here's the link to the tutorial video: https://pin.it/jec3jerigg6aoo (goes to Pinterest)

Incidentally, what's everyone watching these days? I have Netflix instead of TV, and lately I've watched The Haunting of Hill House, and Tidying Up with Marie Kondo. Wildly different, I know. Hill House is amazing, and terrifying. Now I'm watching Lucifer, which is fun. I remember D.B. Woodside from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and wow, that was a while back, wasn't it...

Oh, I also watched Star Trek: Discovery on DVD - I feel like I've mentioned that before. IDK. At any rate, it is also amazing, and Sonequa Martin-Green is just fantastic. Ditto Michelle Yeoh and Jason Isaacs. And pretty much the whole cast.Amyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04932241327066036410noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5471048650663356482.post-35663919020754787482019-02-06T07:11:00.003-08:002019-02-06T11:20:38.846-08:00Progress, and still stitching 99% from stashLast night, when I was awake in the middle of the night (thank you, dogs), I ordered the beads for Bleeding Heart Pixie. I think I may actually get to start beading this month! Here's where I am now:

The fact that she's headless is starting to bother me a little. π I think I'll do the feet, and then move the hoop and give her a head before I continue with the wings.

I'm really itching to start something new despite still having 11 WIPs. There are two pieces I want to stitch as gifts this year, which is a really good excuse to start something new! After I finish Pixie, or possibly before, if I have enough downtime some weekend this month, I'll organize the fabric and threads for the Wildflower wreath and Nutty Christmas and put the first stitches in. What I'll be starting:

So, I would like to mention that other than the little 99 cent ornament kit that I picked up after Christmas at Joann's, I haven't purchased any new patterns since October of last year. In fact, I'm doing really well not spending money on stitching stuff just in general. I don't have the beads necessary for the Pixie, so I bought them; and I plan to buy a Mag Eyes thing whenever I finally decide to do Feathers n Fins as my focus and finish project. But other than that, my upcoming stitching plans (the gifts, and Stitch Maynia) are all comfortably built around what I already have on hand.

It will be interesting to see how long I can sustain that - there was a Super Bowl sale at my local-ish (2 hours away) LNS last weekend, but I ended up not being able to go. I told myself I would only go there in order to get the bead pack for Bleeding Heart Pixie, but there's no way I would have gotten out of there without more. It was hard enough ordering JUST the bead pack online without succumbing to all of the pretties on the website.

(Confession: During the period of October - December last year, while I was angelically not purchasing patterns or fabric or anything, I WAS going a little crazy acquiring a supply of seasonal embroidery scissors and beaded fobs. Um. π³ And that's why I'm being cautious in planning non-pattern/fabric/thread purchases as well.)Amyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04932241327066036410noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5471048650663356482.post-36374769934083971142019-01-28T08:05:00.000-08:002019-01-28T08:05:41.609-08:00WIPocalypse: January Update

Question of the month: What SALs are you participating in this year?

WIPocalypse (of course :)

Smalls SAL
- Stitch a small design every month. One of my WIPs is an advent
calendar and I was thinking that I could stitch one or two a month for
the Smalls SAL

Stitch Maynia - basically this is a "start all the things!!!! in May" SAL run via the Facebook group of the same name

Carla & Leo's Halloween SAL - Starts in August; you pick one or more out of a set of patterns chosen by Carla and Leonore, and the challenge is to finish by Halloween. There is a Facebook group for this too

Progress on my WIPocalypse goals:

Minimize pattern purchases: I did buy one, but it was a small Christmas ornament kit from Joann's on sale post-holiday for 99 cents

Complete at least five of the 'old' WIPs: I finished The Bunnies this month, yay! (Granted I haven't sewn on the button, but my plan is to stitch it into a pillow and 'tuft' the center using the button.)

Put some stitches into all of my 'old' WIPs at least once during 2019: I stitched on several this month, mainly because I couldn't figure out what I wanted to focus on. Before / after pics:

Bleeding Heart Pixie by Nora Corbett - I've picked this as a "focus and finish" project. I'm not stitching on it exclusively, but I'm trying to spend the majority of my time on it (50% or more).
I'm even using the SAL graphic this year. π

I almost wasn't going to do this SAL this year, but then I decided to make a concerted effort to work on pre-2019 WIPs in 2019 and lo, one of those is an advent calendar consisting of a bunch of small patterns. And I know the Smalls SAL will help me be accountable for keeping up with smalls stitching, so.

Before 2019, I had completed the top six shown below:

The other two were only partly finished - the little guy needed a bow on his gift box, and obviously the gingerbread man needed a body. This month I finished the following:

I mean, more than just a dusting, more than just an inch that is gone the next day!

I love snow. It was very exciting. I took some pictures, all of them taken Saturday afternoon before we got a couple more inches.
It has all been melting, though given that we got about 17 inches there is still plenty on the ground. We may get more snow over the upcoming weekend, but I'm not holding my breath.

I'm joining Measi's WIPocalypse this year. I spent most of last year being very WIP-focused, but this year I intend to do Stitch Maynia again and I don't want to lose sight of the older WIPs (and then feel guilty for starting a bunch of things while still having old WIPs. As I do). So! I'm going to join this awesomely-named SAL and see how it goes!

My WIPocalypse intro post:

Question of the Month: Introduce yourself, your projects, and any goals you have for the year!

I am Amy, I like to stitch things, read, walk my dogs, go to the coffee shop and to bookstores, and plan home renovations that I occasionally get around to implementing. I have a son in college, a sister out of state, parents nearby, and way too many pets for such a small house.

My 2019 stitching goals this year are:

1. Keep pattern purchases to a minimum. I have so many patterns OMG. My plan is to allow myself to buy one in August for Carla & Leo's Halloween SAL, and then set a budget for the 2019 Needlework Galleria in St. Charles, MO where I will let myself buy a couple of patterns.

2. Do Stitch Maynia (a challenge via the Stitch Maynia Facebook group) in May and start as many projects as I am able. In 2017 I intended to start 15, but only managed 11. So this year I'll just plan to start as many as I'm moved to start.

3. Put some stitches into ALL of my current (pre-2019) WIPs. I have 13; status pics in this previous post.

The Bunnies / Bent Creek

Buzzing Bee / Mill Hill

Butterflies Biscornu / Seba Designs

Beautiful Sea Quaker SAL / Ship's Manor

Feathers & Fins / Tempting Tangles

Mysterious Halloween Town / Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery

Christmas Mouse in a House (house) / Just Nan

Whimsical Advent Calendar / Primitive Hare

Scandinavian Christmas Towel / Just Cross Stitch

Frosty Feast / Crossed Wing Collection

Bleeding Heart Pixie / Nora Corbett

Enchanted Alphabet / Lavender & Lace

Mermaids Azure and Verde (to be stitched together on the same piece of fabric) / Mirabilia

4. And finally, complete at least five of those WIPs, including #s 1, 2 & 4, possibly 3, and then either #5 or #11.Amyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04932241327066036410noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5471048650663356482.post-81993084003408176032019-01-04T09:11:00.005-08:002019-01-04T12:34:51.951-08:002018 review; 2019 WIPs & planned starts 2018 in (very brief) review
I didn't stitch nearly as many things this year as in the previous couple of years, but I didn't do too badly. And I finished a couple of bigger WIPs, which was exciting! Here's a link to my 2018 finishes.
Stitch Maynia

And now that I'm whittling away my WIPs, I am tempted to do Stitch Maynia this year. I have a feeling my personal rhythm is going to be Start All The Things!!! one year and then OMG Too Many WIPs Argh the next year, rinse, repeat.

At any rate, below are the possible starts for Stitch Maynia this year. Qualifications for being on the list are that I already have fabric and have all or a significant majority of the required threads in my stash. (I left off the column labels in my screen grab, oops. The third column is fabric, fourth is threads, fifth is my own categorization.)
